Community Guidelines

Craft MadeBy is a place to celebrate handmade craft. Keep it kind, safe and respectful. Breaking these guidelines can lead to content removal or account suspension.

Be respectful

Be encouraging. No harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats or attacks based on who someone is. Critique the craft, not the person.

Respect copyright

Share your own creations and your own process. Do not post or redistribute copyrighted material such as patterns, recipes, instructions or designs. You are welcome to share your photos and notes, but you may not do so in a way that reproduces copyrighted materials in the descriptions of your project steps. Credit designers where you can.

Stay safe around strangers

Treat other members as strangers. Never share personal details: your phone number, email, financial information or precise location. For giveaways, arrange the hand-over in the gift conversation inside the app: share a delivery address only through its address card (it is removed once the gift is marked received), prefer shipping over meeting in person, and never send money or sensitive information. We do not verify members' identity.

Keep it clean & legal

No sexual, violent, graphic or illegal content. No promotion of dangerous or illegal activities. No spam, scams or misleading content.

No impersonation, no AI images

Do not pretend to be someone else or misrepresent your work.

We celebrate handmade craft. Do not use AI-generated images in your projects: every photo should show your own piece and your own process. We discourage the use of AI-generated images as profile pictures. Projects with AI-generated images will not be certified and may be removed.

Report & block

If you see something wrong, use Report on the project, the profile or the gift conversation, and Block members you do not want to interact with — a block also ends any gift conversation with them. Reports are reviewed and acted on. Thank you for helping keep the community safe.
