Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Craft MadeBy. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines.

Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country).

Your content & licence

You keep ownership of the projects, photos and text you post. By posting, you grant Craft MadeBy a non-exclusive licence to host and display that content within the app so the service can function. You can remove your content or delete your account at any time.

Promotion of the app:

• When you set a project's visibility to Public, you grant Craft MadeBy permission to use the cover photo, title and your maker name, as they appear in the public feed, for promotional purposes — for example in the app's showcases, on the app stores and on social media. Your work is always credited to you and never edited beyond cropping.
• When you post a tip in the Studio, you grant Craft MadeBy permission to use the tip, as it appears in the app, for promotional purposes.
• Private and Connections-only projects are never used. You can withdraw this permission at any time by making the project non-public, deleting the tip, or writing to support@craftmadeby.com.

Intellectual property & copyright

Only post content you own or have the right to share. Do NOT upload, copy or redistribute copyrighted materials without the permission of their rightful owner. Copyrighted materials include, but are not limited to, patterns, recipes, instructions and designs.

You may share photos and notes, but you may not do so in a way that reproduces copyrighted materials in the descriptions of your project steps. We encourage you to credit the designer of the copyrighted materials.

We respond to valid copyright complaints, will remove infringing content and may suspend repeat infringers. Rights holders can contact us at support@craftmadeby.com.

Acceptable use

Do not use Craft MadeBy to break the law, infringe rights, harass others, post harmful or explicit content, spam, scrape or attempt to disrupt the service. The full rules are in our Community Guidelines.

Giveaways

Giveaways and gifts are arranged directly between members. Craft MadeBy is not a party to any exchange, does not verify members' identity, and is not responsible for items, shipping or interactions. Arrange the hand-over in the gift conversation inside the app rather than by exchanging contact details, and never share sensitive personal information.

Gift conversations

When a gift is accepted, the giver and the receiver get a private conversation in the app to arrange the hand-over. It exists for that purpose only and closes when the receiver marks the gift received.

• Be respectful: the Community Guidelines apply to messages as they do to projects.
• Never send money or payment details. Craft MadeBy never asks for them, and neither should another member.
• Messages are checked automatically for unsafe content, and we may read a conversation when one of its participants reports it.
• Craft MadeBy is not a party to the exchange and is not responsible for what is agreed or sent in a conversation.

Premium

Some features may require a paid subscription, billed through the app stores. Prices and benefits may change; the stores' terms and refund policies apply.

Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines.

Disclaimers & liability

The app is provided “as is”, without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, Craft MadeBy is not liable for indirect or incidental damages, or for interactions between members.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The version number and date on this page tell you which version applies; continued use after a change means you accept it.

If something goes wrong

If a giveaway, a gift conversation or another member's behaviour leaves you with a bad experience, please tell us: use Report on the project, the profile or the conversation, block the member, or write to support@craftmadeby.com. Every report is reviewed, and it helps us keep the community safe for everyone.
